All staff employed at Maroochy Beach Gymnastics Club must possess a current blue card issued by the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian.

All coaching staff are fully accredited and registered Technical Members through Gymnastics Australia, in addition to possessing current Senior First Aid certification.

MAG Program Director MAG Level 7 - 10 Coordinator:
Adrian Looney MAG Level 2 Coach WAG Level 1 Coach
Adrian gained selection to train in the Mens Artistic Gymnastics program at the Queensland High Performance Centre in 1991. Demonstrating great potential, he gained selection to the Australian Institute of Sport. Adrian achieved top overall placings at National Championships from 1992 – 1996 before his progression to international competition; including a first overall placing at the Australia vs USA Duel in 1997. Adrian also represented Australia at the 1999 and 2001 World Championships and was a reserve for the Australian team at the 2000 Olympic Games. Adrian was crowned the 2002 MAG Australian Champion.
Adrian has a wealth of knowledge & experience in the Mens Artistic Gymnastics program, having coached at a National, State & Regional level. Adrian oversees all MAG gymnasts & programmiunder reviewng, in addition to coaching the Senior MAG squad. |

WAG Program Director WAG Level 7 - 10 Coordinator
Nathan Kingston WAG Level 2 Coach MAG Level 1 Coach
Having trained at the Australian Institute of Sport for 13 years, Nathan represented Australia at the 1994 Commonwealth Games; World Championships in 1994, 1995 & 1997; Pacific Alliance Championships in 1994 & 1996; in addition to countless international championships. Nathan's career highlight would be the 1994 Commonwealth Games, where he won the silver medal on pommel horse and the bronze medal on high bar to boost the Australian MAG team attainment of overall silver medal placing. In the 1994 Pacific Alliance Championships Nathan finished 2nd all around, placing 1st on high bar and pommel horse and 3rd on parallel bars. Nathan continued his excellent results in the 1996 Pacific Alliance, with a bronze medal for pommel horse. He was also crowned the 1993 MAG Australian Champion & 1992 MAG Australian Runner-Up.
Nathan has coached Womens Artistic Gymnastics at a National, State & Regional level and oversees all WAG gymnasts & programming.

WAG Level 4 - 6 Coordinator:
Belinda Reardon WAG Level 1 Coach
During her gymnastics career, Belinda had outstanding success including Regional Champion over six successive years; third overall placing at the 1994 NSW State Championships & second overall placing in 1995 at State Championships. Belinda represented NSW at National Championships, attaining first overall placing in both Levels 8 & 9. Belinda has over 11 years experience as a WAG coach & is an excellent role model for the Level 4 – 6 gymnasts. |

WAG Level 1 - 3 Coordinator General Gymnastics Coordinator
Carmen Huxley WAG Level 1 Coach
Carmen trained and competed for Maroochy Beach Gymnastics Club for 5 years with great success. She attained 1st overall placing at State Championships and twice represented Queensland in the WAG Level 7 team at National Championships. Carmen was crowned the National beam champion in 1999 & won the bonze medal at the 2000 National Championships. Carmen retired from competitive gymnastics at Level 9 but has continued in her role as a WAG coach for 6 years.
In her role as General Gymnastics Coordinator, Carmen oversees the Adults Strength & Conditioning classes; schools program; birthday parties & associated sports utilising the Club facilities for cross-training. |

Bernice Jackson WAG Level 1 Coach / Kinder Gym Coach
Having nurtured her children through competitive gymnastics, Bernice was encouraged to undertake her Kinder Gym & WAG coaching accreditation. Bernice brings over 10 years coaching experience within junior, recreational girls & boys, schools & WAG competitive gymnastics.
